Yes, you can put new asphalt over old asphalt. This approach can extend the surface’s lifespan by several years. An asphalt overlay can last between eight to fifteen years on the surface. When applying asphalt over an existing layer, ensure that the new layer is at least 1.5 times thicker than the old one1. It’s essential to consider the condition of the existing pavement and whether it remains structurally sound, clean, and capable of binding with the new layer. However, keep in mind that merely overlaying new asphalt won’t address underlying issues, so proper assessment and preparation are crucial for a successful result

The duration for installing a driveway can vary based on several factors. Let’s break it down:

  1. Size of the Driveway:

    • The larger the area, the more time it will take to complete the installation.
    • Here’s an approximate breakdown based on square footage:
      • 200 square feet: 5 days
      • 400 square feet: 7 days
      • 1000 square feet: 2 weeks

We also take great care to avoid obstructing roads and pathways, keeping the area as safe as possible.

The cost of interlocking pavers ranges from $20 to $60 per square foot, varying with the size of the project and the materials selected. Remember to include labor costs in your budget when designing your project!
